The Museum Series Hardbord is a highly stable, 1/8 inch thick painting panel measuring 12x16 inches. Crafted from high-density hardboard made from US-grown, renewable FSC Aspen wood fibers, it is free from formaldehyde and harmful VOCs. This warp-resistant substrate provides excellent support for artwork, preventing warping, bowing, or movement. Its versatile surface is ideal for all acrylic gessoes, specialty grounds, traditional gesso, and oil primers. Additionally, it serves as a sturdy support for mounting watercolor papers, photographs, fabrics, prints, and more. The hardboard is complemented by hand-built cradles made from premium-grade, 13-ply birch plywood, available in 3/4", 1 1/2", and 2" depths, offering both support and presentation.
